The United States President Donald Trump said in an interview that his government has set a potential buyer for social media practice Tiktok. In an interview with Maria Bartiomo of Fox News on Sunday, Trump said he would not yet explain the names, but the details would be “about two weeks”. He described the party as a “very rich group” and added that the Chinese government would require the approval of the government to close the agreement. “We have a buyer for Tiktok … I will probably need Chinese approval, and I think President Xi (Jinping) will probably do that.”
Trump’s efforts to save Tiktok
A US legislation in 2024 required Tiktok to stop operations by 19 January this year, unless the Chinese mainly company bank has made significant progress towards the release of US assets or a significant progress towards a sale.
