Ryan Reynolds made a rare public show of support for wife Blake Lively over the weekend amid her bitter legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni.
On Saturday, the Waiting star, 48, uploaded a photo to Instagram of himself and Lively, 38, checking out Halloween decorations near their New York home.
The couple, who married in 2012 and have four children, smiled in an outdoor selfie watched by Reynolds’ nearly 52 million followers.
The person responsible for taking the photo was Lively; With his hands in his pockets, Ryan posed next to a balloon spider tied to a street lamp.
Lively looked effortlessly stunning with her damaged sandy blonde hair and petite frame wrapped in a tweed jacket.
The Gossip Girl alum reposted her selfie with Reynolds on her own Instagram Story shortly after Reynolds did.

Reynolds’ beloved selfie with Lively comes just days after she shared a slice-of-life post with her 42.5 million followers, showing off her preferred pajama brand.
Lively, who is in an ongoing lawsuit with Baldoni over the production of his 2024 film It Ends with Us, took to Instagram Stories to model a pair of pajamas she said she liked.
“I’m so obsessed with my new pajamas that I swap out the bottoms for jeans or trousers and use the top as a regular shirt,” Lively said.
While tagging the manufacturers of the products she liked, Lively ended her statement by writing “no one will know” with the hush emoji.
In the selfie she shared, the Gossip Girl star stood in a walk-in closet in front of dozens of shoes, her blonde mane styled to one side, wearing white pajamas with a necklace.

In her lawsuit, the Gossip Girl alum accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her in various ways, including body shaming, and of orchestrating a smear campaign against her to damage her reputation.
Lively named a number of collaborators in her lawsuit, including Baldoni’s company, Wayfarer Studios, the studio’s CEO and financial backer, and public relations staffers Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.
Baldoni initially sought $250 million in damages from the newspaper, then added that to the $400 million lawsuit he filed last January.
In the lawsuit, Baldoni named Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane, citing the report cited in legal documents. He was expelled from the court last June.
All parties denied the accusations against them.
