Donald Trump’s BIG statement on Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro’s capture: ‘Was like watching…’

Trump also said that Maduro and his wife were on the US warship Iwo Jima and were taken to New York where they would be tried. U.S. officials say Maduro is charged with narcoterrorism and conspiracy to possess weapons against the United States.

No Americans were killed in the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores from their hometown, United States President Donald Trump said Saturday. Trump praised US forces for successfully carrying out the operation, adding that “several people” were hit. Speaking to Fox News hours after the night attack, the US leader said that he watched the raid live and that it was like watching a “television program”.
In the same interview, Trump boasted: “Actual military people told me there is no other country in the world that can do a maneuver like that.” He added: “If you could see what happened… I literally watched it like I was watching a television show. And if you could see the speed, the intensity… It was an incredible thing, an incredible job that these people did. No one else could have done anything like it.” Describing the operation as extremely complex, Trump said that many aircraft, including helicopters and fighter jets, participated in the operation. “It is truly surprising that although there were a few injuries, there were no deaths on our side,” the US president added.
Trump also said that Maduro and his wife were on the US warship Iwo Jima and were taken to New York where they would be tried. U.S. officials say Maduro is charged with narcoterrorism and conspiracy to possess weapons against the United States. American forces launched an operation early on Saturday and captured Maduro and his wife under the guise of a strike.
