Donald Trump’s Georgia election interference case dismissed

TRUMP WILL REMAIN UNPAID FOR 2020 ELECTION EXPENSES
A judge in Georgia dismissed the last of the criminal investigations against the US President Donald Trump for alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results, following a motion filed overnight by Georgia state prosecutors to end the prosecution.
New York Times reports Pete SkandalakisThe executive director of the Georgia prosecution council filed a motion seeking to end the prosecution. While the jury was somewhat out on whether a president could pardon himself on federal matters, this was a state case, meaning a successful conviction would not be subject to presidential pardons.
