No Renewable Energy Projects Cancelled in Telangana: Centre

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Power Shripad Yesso Naik made it clear that no grid-powered renewable energy project in Telangana has been cancelled, postponed or kept on hold or found to be at risk of non-execution or cancellation in the last three years due to financial, technical or implementation issues.

He said this while responding to a question asked by Congress MP Kadiyam Kavya in the Lok Sabha regarding the postponement of renewable energy projects in Telangana.

Union Minister, Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), NTPC, NHPC and SJVN Ltd, the Renewable Energy Implementation Agencies of the Central government. He said that according to information received from the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), no grid power based renewable energy project has been canceled, delayed or kept on hold in Telangana.

The Congress MP wanted to know whether any renewable energy project contracts were approved, cancelled, postponed or kept pending in the last three years due to financial, technical or implementation issues in Telangana, especially in Warangal Lok Sabha constituency.
