Sarah Ferguson’s unusual three-word comment about Andrew as pair ‘seek separate homes’ | Royal | News

As a possible eviction from Royal Lodge looms, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are reportedly looking for new homes to move into. Although they have been living together at the 30-bed Crown Estate property in Windsor for several years, it appears they no longer want that to be the case.
Instead, it was widely reported that Andrew wanted to be given two houses if they left the Royal Lodge; one for himself and the other for her. It is not yet known whether this demand for the two properties will be met. Such a request may also come as a surprise, especially considering that Andrew and Sarah seem very happy to live under the same roof.
This became clear years ago when Sarah made an unusual three-word comment about the 65-year-old prince, from whom she divorced in 1996.
Speaking to the Daily Mail Just a few years ago, Sarah called the couple “the happiest divorced couple.”
He said: “We are the happiest divorced couple in the world. We divorced each other, not each other.”
While this may have seemed nice at the time, it now raises the question of why moving in together is no longer on the cards and whether recent scandals have affected the friendship the once-married couple has always shared.
Although Andrew and Sarah, 66, did not admit the reason they wanted individual homes, a friend of the couple spoke to The Sun on Monday and shared why they wanted to go their separate ways.
Her friend told the publication: “Sarah and Andy have been living together at the Royal Lodge since 2008, despite being divorced and still considered a married couple.
“It’s incredible how willing they are to go their separate ways. But it shows that they’ve been under a lot of pressure this year and need a break from each other. This is a new start for both of them.”
Buckingham Palace has not yet confirmed the situation with the Royal Lodge.
