Indie techno-pop duo 2charm, who are also frontmen of pop group Cub Sport, showed off their collection of tattoos on their upper bodies in black leather trousers as they danced the red carpet to their single boyfriends.

There were cowboy hats galore; yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins wore denim and yellow country attire, while fellow Wiggle Caterina Mete wore a patched red suit and original blue Wiggle Anthony Field wore checkered blue and red trousers.

American country singer Kacey Musgraves walked the red carpet in a white bodice dress while she was in the country for her Australian tour.

Performers at this year’s ceremony include Baker Boy, G Flip, Missy Higgins, Thelma Plum, Alex Lahey and British soul singer Olivia Dean.

Ninajriachi leads the contenders with eight nominations for her debut album I Love My Computer.

The biggest award of the night, Album of the Year, is dominated by a group made up overwhelmingly of women.
