Dublin museum unveils a VERY questionable waxwork of Taylor Swift during her Eras tour as she joins worst celebrity figures list of all time

Taylor Swift has fallen victim to a very controversial waxwork exhibition that opened at the National Wax Museum Plus in Dublin on Thursday morning.

The copy of the star, who performed the album Lover during the Eras tour, drove her fans crazy, some claiming that she looked like ‘Jedward in a wig’.

The brand new model depicts her performance on stage with her pink guitar, sparkly blue jumpsuit and silver boots.

It was revealed dramatically from behind a curtain, as even after the opening staff could be seen adding the finishing touches.

But as the photos began to spread on social media, many Swifties flocked to mock the pop icon’s likeness.

‘She looks like a cheap sex robot’; ‘Like Jedward in the wig!’; ‘Even Jedward was shocked to see how bad the situation was!’;’I hope TayTay never sees this.’

Some took to Facebook to mock the new installation, with one saying: ‘April fools were yesterday’.

“It looks like him if you squint hard,” one user joked, alongside multiple smiley face emojis.

Another said: ‘I could have done better myself with the wax at the bottom of my Yankee candle.’

There were the odd comment here and there that took a more neutral approach; One of them praised Taylor’s wax facial but ‘the hair looks all wrong.’

And Taylor wasn’t the only A-list artist to fall victim over the years; There were a lot of wax figures that looked nothing like the stars they were supposed to look like, horrifying people around the world.

Kevin Hart took to Instagram earlier this week to toast his new statue, which was recently unveiled at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

While sharing the video of the statue, the comedian described it as an ‘attack’ in the caption and said ‘demanded it to be rebuilt’.

‘WTF… What did I do to these people… This is an attack,’ he wrote. ‘Who is this for God’s sake?

‘At this point these museums are just trying to make me cry… This has to stop… I demand it be done again.’

In February 2024, Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, England, unveiled a new wax statue of Beyoncé… and it wasn’t well received.

Angry fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the museum’s attempt to create a life-size replica of the 35-time Grammy winner, claiming it looked nothing like her.

“Don’t get me wrong, the wax figure is beautiful, but baby she ain’t Beyonce,” one wrote. ‘I want them to go and take a real photo of him or bring him there while you do that.’

The image showed the Single Ladies singer wearing a sparkling dress with her long locks styled in beach-like curls.

Years ago, in 2017, a different wax figure of the singer was pulled after many claimed she looked ‘whitewashed’.

TMZ reported that after being briefly ‘lifted’ for ‘adjustment’, it was returned to the museum and altered to more closely match Beyoncé’s skin tone.

Afterwards, Madame Tussauds in New York released a statement: ‘We love, respect and enjoy the working relationship with Beyoncé… We styled her figure and adjusted the lighting and she [back] It’s on display.’

Fans of Ariana Grande were also stunned after Madame Tussauds in London unveiled a new wax work for her in May 2019.

The figure wore the pop star’s iconic high ponytail, as well as an oversized sweater and tall black boots, one of her signature looks.

While the outfit was spot-on, social media users felt the creators missed the mark when trying to recreate the Thank U, Next singer’s face.

‘You all need to melt his face and start [over] because it’s not this one’, while one user said: ‘Are you sure this is Ariana?’
