Dublin shooting LIVE: Man rushed to hospital as police swarm area | World | News

A man injured in a shooting in north Dublin has been taken to hospital. It is believed the victim was shot in the back and emergency services rushed to the scene in the incident, which took place in the Ballymun area on Sunday afternoon.

Gardai are also understood to believe other weapons, including cutting hooks, were also brandished at the incident. A spokesman said Irish Mirror: “Gardaí are at the scene of a gunshot discharge in Ballymun, Dublin 11 today, Sunday 15 February 2026. An adult male was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. Investigations are ongoing.” It was reported that the crime scene was cordoned off and the police investigation was ongoing.
