EAM Jaishankar shares moments from meetings with UAE President, highlights strong India-UAE ties

In a post on X, Jaishankar said, “Sharing some moments from my meeting with UAE President HH Mohamed Bin Zayed and meeting with HH Hamdan Mohammed.” he said.
Echoing this, India’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi also shared moments from the meetings and emphasized its relations with the UAE leadership during the Minister’s visit.
“He understands from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates and his meeting with His Highness Sheikh HamdanMohammed,” he said.
Jaishankar also noted the solidity of India-UAE strategic partnershipHe noted that the ongoing dialogue between the two countries remains strong and transparent despite the complex regional environment.

The Minister emphasized that his visit comes at a vital time to facilitate a comprehensive review of various bilateral initiatives covering energy and trade.
Jaishankar is currently in Abu Dhabi, celebrating the final phase of his four-day bi-national diplomatic mission to Mauritius and the UAE, spanning April 9-12.
EAM arrived in the UAE on Saturday, April 11, following its participation in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius.
Speaking about the main focus of his high-level talks, the External Affairs Minister told ANI: “I arrived in the UAE yesterday. This morning I met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed. I brought with me a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and our conversation focused on our strategic relationship and its various initiatives such as energy, economic trade and energy and trade relationship. UAE is an important partner for us, so we discussed this.”
Beyond key economic pillars, the talks also addressed broader geopolitical challenges currently affecting the Gulf region. “We have had very intense conflict in this region. Obviously, India has huge interests and huge interests in the stability and security of this region. I am very happy to have the opportunity to come here, sit down directly, express our interests and incidentally share the feedback of the Indian community,” Jaishankar said. he said.
The welfare of the Indian diaspora has remained a central priority throughout diplomatic engagements, especially in the wake of recent regional hostilities. “I conveyed to him Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message and our appreciation for how the Indian community in the UAE is being looked after during this very difficult period. Now, the Indian community is our concern and so in my talks too, of course, we discussed other aspects of our relationship,” the minister said. he said.

Jaishankar also explained that he acts as a bridge between the expatriate community and the UAE leadership to ensure that their voices are heard at the highest level. “As soon as I arrived yesterday, I met with community representatives. I shared their experiences and feelings with the President of the UAE. He asked me to share the feedback I received. So I did.” he said, noting that “the community is very appreciative of the way they are cared for.”
Diplomatic assistance was also extended to other key members of the leadership in a bid to reinforce the Indian government’s collective gratitude. “The President was there today when I called Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, so I took the opportunity to convey to him the gratitude, sentiments and feedback of the Indian community as well,” Jaishankar said. he said.
