Earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hits Bageshwar in Uttarakhand

Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand), A low-intensity earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred near Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning, causing people to rush out of their homes, according to officials.

Authorities said that there has been no loss of life or property so far.

According to the statement made by the District Disaster Management Directorate, a 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at 07.25. The epicenter was near Kapkot town, about 30 kilometers from Bageshwar district centre.
Bageshwar District Disaster Management Officer Shikha Suyal said that there has been no report of any loss of life or property so far.
