Revealed: Richard Hammond’s new mystery girlfriend is a divorced mother-of-two therapist – as they enjoy quiet life in sprawling £2million Georgian farmhouse since his divorce

Richard Hammond’s mysterious new girlfriend is a 53-year-old therapist and divorced mother of two, the Daily Mail can reveal.

The former Top Gear presenter, 56, was photographed with his new love Kiki Glen last week in Abergavenny, the Welsh town Hammond now calls home after his divorce from his wife of 23 years, Mindy Etheridge.

This is her first relationship since she announced the end of her marriage in January 2025, and according to friends, the pair are taking things slowly but are “extremely” enjoying each other’s company.

A friend said: ‘Richard is having fun and thinks he’s really lucky to have someone to share such excitement with.

‘He didn’t expect to get into a relationship so soon but he’s not complaining.

‘It’s still early days, but they’re happy to see where it goes without any pressure.’

Hammond revealed he was in a new relationship earlier this month while discussing his quieter post-divorce lifestyle; this lifestyle centered around cooking, running, walking, and enjoying the countryside.

The TV presenter, who shares daughters Izzy, 25, and Willow, 22, with Mindy, admitted he eats early alone or with his girlfriend and is content to have a quiet night watching TV.

But the couple are often spotted at the local pub, according to locals who often spot him in Waitrose and Morrisons.

One staff member told the Daily Mail: ‘They’ve been coming here all the time, at least ten times since they moved here.

‘He’s a local. We sit him away from the front so people can’t see him. He just wants to sit in peace and enjoy his burger.

‘He doesn’t want to be disturbed. He wants to be treated like everyone else.’

Kiki, whose real name is Keira, lives in a charming village in Oxfordshire.

He previously worked as a client manager at JP Morgan in finance. However, after having children, she worked as a teacher before becoming a therapist.

Kiki is also a non-executive director of engineering firm Barrus Ltd and the governor of a school in Oxford.

She was previously married to Richard Newall, 65, and the couple have two daughters, aged 26 and 24.

Hammond’s relationship with Kiki first came to light in September – nine months after his divorce became public – when he took her as a guest to the opening of YARD-O-LED’s first store in London’s Piccadilly.

The pair posed together for an in-house photographer who also took pictures of Hammond alongside This Morning presenter Ben Shepherd and former Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry.

Hammond’s new home is close to Hereford, where he runs car restoration business The Smallest Cog.

The six-bedroom Mansion at Upper Triley Farm is set in the Welsh countryside and has a tennis court, a wine cellar and outbuildings where he can store his supercar collection.

He had previously been renting another property in the town after being exiled to sleep in a barn on the grounds of his £7 million marital home; The 20-acre mock-Gothic Bollitree Castle in Herefordshire.

Despite their divorce, Hammond and his ex-wife Mindy appear civilized, and after their split they attended their daughter Willow’s graduation ceremony from Hartpury University in Gloucester together.

The couple, who have been together for 28 years, said last year that they had a “wonderful” relationship with their “two incredible daughters” and that they “will always be in each other’s lives and will be proud of the family we have created.”

Last October, the star addressed the breakdown of his marriage in the opening episode of Discovery+ series Richard Hammond’s Workshop.

He said: ‘Get things out of the way now; Recently there has been a slight change in my situation… I am divorced.

‘Which means I live here now. ‘I like it here, it’s got great views, there’s somewhere to store some of my cars and bikes and best of all it’s close to the workshop.’

The divorce came shortly after the end of The Grand Tour, which Hammond presented alongside former Top Gear colleagues Jeremy Clarkson and James May, and the death of his 80-year-old father Alan.

Last year Hammond told the Daily Mail he had had ‘a year from hell’, including the ‘devastating’ collapse of his marriage.

His relationship with Mindy has become increasingly strained in recent years due to injuries sustained in two near-fatal car accidents.

And he warned her it was her ‘last chance’ eight years before the couple announced their marriage was over.

After crashing a Vampire Dragster at more than 200 miles per hour in 2006, he was hospitalized and fell into a coma while filming an episode of Top Gear.

Eleven years later, in the second season of the Grand Tour, he crashed the Rimac Concept One on a hill climb in Switzerland, rolling the car several times and fracturing his knee.

An insider previously said: ‘Richard has been through a lot and the knock-on effect of the accidents has affected his relationship.

‘Given the magnitude of the accident and the impact it caused both physically and mentally, it is understandable that he was very successful in recovering and returning to normal life.

‘But they changed him, there’s no escaping it, and his relationship with Mindy suffered in the process.’

Richard made a name for himself alongside Jeremy Clarkson and James May in BBC's Top Gear and later Prime Video's The Grand Tour.

Announcing the divorce in January 2025, he said: ‘A little update from us; We were together as a family this Christmas, and we’ll still be a family this year, just structured a little differently.

‘Our marriage is coming to an end but we have had a wonderful 28 years together and have two incredible daughters.

‘We will always be in each other’s lives and we will be proud of the family we have created.

‘With love, Richard and Mindy.’
