Bluestar, the bus company, confirmed that one of the drivers and two passengers “confirmed the injuries”.

Richard Tyldsley, the general manager of the company, said: “One of our buses carrying students to Barton Peveril College took part in an incident in Eastleight, Bishopstoke Road early this morning.

“At that time there were 19 passengers. At least two of our driver and passengers confirmed the injury and we expect more updates about the status of the resident others.

“We do not have all the details of their injuries right now and we closely follow their progress.
