EasyJet flight to Bristol makes emergency landing in Turkey after ‘smell of smoke’ in cabin

After the passengers reported a smell of smoke in the cabin, an Easyjet flight had to make an emergency landing.
The aircraft was traveling from Cyprus to Bristol Airport, but only one hour 20 minutes after taking off, he turned to Izmir on Sunday, June 15th.

They said that the plane landed safely and was met as a precaution with emergency services.
The spokesman added that the passengers landed normally and that hotel accommodation and food were given.
He said that a spare plane would complete his journey to Bristol today.
A statement from Easyjet said: “We can verify that the flight Ezy2902 from Paphos to Bristol was directed to Izmir due to a technical problem that resulted in the smell of smoke on board.
“The plane landed safely to Izmir and was met only as routine and precaution by the emergency services. All passengers have normally landed in the terminal and hotel accommodation and dishes were provided when necessary. Passengers will continue to Bristol on a backup aircraft today.
