YouTube To Use AI To Detect Viewers Under 18

Youtube announced that the USA will begin to use artificial intelligence (AI) to determine whether audiences in the United States are under 18 years of age.

In a blog post, Youtube said in a blog post to interpret the various signals that help us to determine whether a user is below 18 or 18. These signals include the video types of a user, the video categories they follow, or the long life of the account.

When a user is found to be under 18 years of age, youtube applies age -old guards. These include adding measures to suggestions such as disabling personalized ads, providing digital welfare tools and limiting the recurrent appearance of certain types of content types.

If AI misleads the age of a user, they may confirm that they are 18 years and older using a credit card or government identity. “We will allow users who have only been released or confirmed more than 18 for young users to display inappropriate age -limited content for young users, Y Youtube said.

This feature will initially be presented to a “small set of user” in the USA.
