EC rolls out e-verification system to prevent misuse of voter name deletion

The Election Commission has provided an e-facility procedure to ensure that the provision of deleting names from the voter list is not abused.

Those who wish to remove names or objected to the inclusion of names in the election roll will receive a one -time password on registered mobile phones.

“There may be cases of a person who wants to remove a name online when he objections to an online, the name or phone number of another. This additional feature will offer such abuse.”
