ECI to announce Assembly poll dates for four States, one Union Territory today

The Election Commission of India will announce the dates of Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Puducherry on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

The poll authority held a press conference at 16:00 to announce the programme. The terms of these Legislative Assemblies expire on different dates in May and June.

The final voter lists of the four States and the Union Territory of Puducherry were released as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters list.
