Michael and Emily Eavis opened the doors to Glastonbury on Wednesday morning.

Last year, I reserved the DJ at the Glastonbury Festival in an unexpected development. When I arrived in the afternoon Thursday, something hit me right away.

There was a very special atmosphere. The best, a sense of release – that waiting is over. I had never seen or felt such a thing.

That Thursday’s feeling remained with me. I continued to think about this in the following months

Although the main stages opened on Friday and run all the weekend, Glastonbury is a five -day festival.

Organizer Emily Eavis is special for the first two days. The festival family was started by Michael and Jean and their memories were intertwined with their family life.

“Traditionally, it would be me and my father who descended to open the doors on Wednesday.”

“This is like leaving people to Christmas somehow, you know? Some kind of music is like Christmas, because they’re in the best mind.”

The site is full for the next two days. And at some point, almost everyone comes in.

“Normally Thursday is the time we reach the capacity in the afternoon,” says Emily. “When we know that the site is full, I get a message.

“I love on Thursday. I love energy on Thursday.”

Later, he describes the same phenomenon I noticed last year.

“Ellefi has a feeling of excitement, expectation. People want to see everything and touch everything and be together. This is a community feeling and great friends gangs come together again.”

“Ellefi is a feeling of excitement” is the perfect way to put it.

The opening of the festival is something that Emily has witnessed all her life – although it has prevented her for 10 years.

In 1970, his farmer’s parents organized the Pilton Pop, Folk and Blues Festival, and Glam Rocker Marc Bollan plays in the 60s pop star Wayne Fontana and singer-verse writer Al Stewart backyard.

“I think this is the fastest way to clean my loan deposits, M said Michael said why he organized a concert in the area where milk cows typically stripped.

With a few harmonies and beginnings, this event continued to be the most well -known music festival in England.

And even though it has changed over the years, some things remained the same.

Emily, when she was little, she was very different because she was now much because she was much smaller, very few people, Em Emily says.

“But they still have the same appearance in their eyes, which is cheer, stability and commitment, joy and excitement and magic.

“Apparently, these five days will make the best five days of their lives and witnessing is an incredible thing.”

Watch: ‘Absolutely ideal. Here, a kind of euphoria away from the terrible realities of life.

It was incredible to witness the first hand last year. And Emily once again saw the valley filled, according to my taste, I am one of those who set up their tents.

On Thursday night, I will do djing in StoneBridge and do my best to capture the sense of expectation and possibility.

To do this, I get some help from Radio 1’s Greg James and his listeners and Drum & Bass DJ and producer Crissy Criss.

Last week, I bought an elevator from the BBC news room until the summit of London’s publishing house. He joined Greg on his show.

We talked about Glastonbury – and asked Greg listeners to send voice notes that explained how they felt with the start of the festival. He did a lot of things.

Then we exemplified some of these messages – as well as an interview with Emily Eavis.

Crissy Criss distributed these examples to a track with a celebration in Glastonbury on Thursday.

Greg will introduce the runway at Djing’s StoneBridge.

As you can probably say, Thursday last year impressed me.

As one of Greg’s listeners said: “You have established yourself, you have a drink. Life is good. You are where you should be.”

Or in the words of Emily Eavis: “These five days will do the best five days of their lives.”

BBC, for the next few days, TV, İPLAYER, RADIO and BBC sounds have a comprehensive area of the festival.
