Two more tankers loaded with crude oil exited the Strait of Hormuz last week, according to Kpler shipping data, with trackers turned off to prevent Iranian attacks, underscoring a growing trend in sustaining Middle East oil exports.

Very large crude oil carrier (VLCC) Basra Energy loaded 2 million barrels of Upper Zakum crude oil from Abu Dhabi National Oil Co’s (ADNOC) Zirku terminal on May 1 and exited the Strait of Hormuz on May 6, data released on Monday showed.

According to the data, the Panama-flagged ship unloaded its cargo at Fujairah Oil Tanker Terminals on May 8.

It is not yet clear which company rented the tanker, which is owned and managed by the transporter Sinokor. Sinokor did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside business hours.

ADNOC and its buyers recently moved several tankers loaded with crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz to transport oil stranded in the Gulf due to the Middle East conflict.
