Epstein files: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should testify before US Congress over links to Epstein, says Starmer

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “should be prepared” to testify before the US Congress over his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Sir Keir Starmer said.

It comes after the former prince was featured in the latest dossier on the disgraced pedophile financier.

The Prime Minister added that Andrew should share the information “in whatever form” he is asked.

Images showing Andrew kneeling over an unidentified woman were included in the latest US Justice Department document dump on Friday.

The images were among more than three million documents released about Epstein.

As he arrived in Japan for the final leg of his East Asia visit, Sir Keir was asked whether Andrew should apologize and give evidence to Congress about the Epstein investigation.

The Prime Minister responded: “First of all, I always approach this question with Epstein’s victims in mind. The first priority should be Epstein’s victims. Whether there is an apology or not is Andrew’s matter.”

“But yes, in terms of testifying, I have always said that anyone with information should be prepared to share that information as they are asked to because you cannot be victim-centered if you are not prepared to do that.”

In the last photographs published in the document, which consists of 100 pages of photographs, it is also seen that the former duke touched the woman’s belly.

Another unidentified person’s feet are on a table in the background.

They have no subtitles and it is unknown where they were filmed.

Elsewhere in the transcript, screenshots and scans appear to show the former prince exchanging emails with Epstein about a “beautiful” Russian woman and inviting her to Buckingham Palace.

Former US ambassador Lord Mandelson is also involved in the disclosure of the files.

This precedent was dismissed as Washington D.C.’s top ambassador in 2008 after it was revealed that he had continued contact with Epstein after he pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution and soliciting a minor.

Lord Mandelson has issued a firm apology to Epstein’s victims.

The documents showed conversations between Epstein and Lord Mandelson’s husband, Reinaldo Avila da Silva, about paying him to attend the British School of Osteopathy.

One email mentioned a £10,000 transfer from Epstein.

Sir Keir was asked whether the payment, apparently made while Lord Mandelson served as business secretary, fell below the standards of one of the kingdom’s peers.

The Prime Minister responded: “As far as Peter Mandelson is concerned, obviously he has been removed from his ambassadorial duties as a result of additional information that came to light in September last year and I have nothing further to say in relation to Peter Mandelson.”
