Epstein files reveal ‘A’ in Balmoral asked Ghislaine Maxwell for ‘inappropriate friends’

Newly released documents from the so-called Epstein files have revealed a series of emails addressed to Ghislaine Maxwell with the letter “A” in Balmoral, asking if she had found any “inappropriate friends” in them.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice released nearly 30,000 pages related to the disgraced pedophile financier; this is the largest single issue so far, and some of them contain references to the English royal residence in Scotland.
Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role in sex trafficking of Epstein’s victims, asked an acquaintance in an email to introduce “Andrew” to his “friendly, level-headed and fun” friends and “some 2-legged excursions.”
The email added: “Doesn’t want to read about any trips in the newspapers [describing] Who or what did he see?
In the latest version of the document, an August 2001 email from “A” containing the address “Invisible Man” reads: “I’m here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.” The writer claims to be “completely exhausted” and asks Maxwell how he is doing.
They add: “How’s Los Angeles? Have you found me any new inappropriate friends? Let me know when you get here as I’m free from August 25th to September 2nd and I want to go somewhere warm and sunny with fun people before I bury my nose for the fall.” The email concludes: “Any ideas gratefully received! See you A xxx”
In response, Maxwell wrote: “I’m so sorry to disappoint you, but to tell you the truth. I’ve only been able to find suitable friends.”
Individual “A” said “I feel uncomfortable!” he replied. He wrote that they had just lost their servant, who had been with them since they were two years old.
“I am a bit unstable as not only has my office been restructured, but my entire life is in disarray since I left the RN and now have no one to care for me,” they wrote.
In March 2002, Maxwell forwarded another email. “I gave Andrew your phone number. Interested in seeing the Nazca Lines,” he wrote, apparently referring to the archaeological site in southern Peru. “He can ride a horse, but it’s not his favorite sport, which is horseback riding.”
He added: “A little bit of bipedal sight (smart, pretty funny and from good families) and he’ll be so happy. I know I can trust you to give him a great time and only introduce him to friends you can trust and trust to be friendly, sensible and fun.”
In another, sender “A” said he would leave the “girls” with Maxwell and another person, in response to an email in which the sender suggested they try to find the girls.
The latest Epstein documents shed further light on the extent of Epstein’s relationship with the royal family and come after former Prince Andrew was stripped of his title over his friendship with the late financier.
In separate documents released last week, then-Prince Andrew was shown in photographs introducing Epstein to members of British high society; One photo showed the royal family lying on the legs of several people, with their head near a woman’s lap.
The photo was reportedly taken at the King’s private estate, Sandringham, in Norfolk, where the former prince will move from Windsor in the new year.
The former prince has always strongly denied any wrongdoing and said in October: “As I have said before, I strongly deny the accusations against me.”
Buckingham Palace and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been contacted for comment.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor resigned from royal duties in 2019 following the disaster news night interview, but the recent posthumous publication of Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s memoirs and the U.S. government’s continued release of documents from Epstein’s estate have led to greater scrutiny of her relationship with the financier.
This led to the King officially stripping his disgraced brother of both his HRH style and the title of prince. He was also told to move from his home at Royal Lodge to Marsh Farm, a much smaller property privately financed by the King.
