Epstein ranch raided as police search for bodies of girls | World | News

Police are searching a remote ranch in New Mexico, US, where billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein once hosted guests. It has long been claimed that the property may contain the bodies of two girls who were strangled to death during rough sex. It is suspected that at least two unidentified women were buried on the 7,500-acre land.

State Attorney General Raúl Torrez announced that the search was made with the cooperation of existing ranchers, and investigators said they were confident they could find the bodies, if any, and name the dead women.

Mr. Torrez reopened the investigation into the farm last month. New Mexico’s original case was closed in 2019 at the request of federal prosecutors in New York, and state prosecutors now say “the disclosures outlined in previously sealed FBI files warrant further review.”

In 1993, Epstein bought the sprawling Zorro Ranch in Stanley, New Mexico, about 30 miles south of Santa Fe, from former Democratic Gov. Bruce King and built a hilltop mansion with a private rink.

The property was sold by Epstein’s estate in 2023 and the proceeds were transferred to creditors. “The New Mexico Department of Justice appreciates the cooperation of the current property owners,” investigators said, adding that prosecutors “will continue to appropriately inform the public, support survivors, and follow the facts wherever they lead.”

Additionally, New Mexico state lawmakers created a new commission to examine past activities at the ranch. Mail Online reports State Representative Andrea Romero, who led the fight to establish the commission, said: “For years we have heard allegations and rumors about Epstein’s activities in New Mexico, but unfortunately federal investigations have failed to produce an official record.

“With this truth commission, we can finally fill the gaps by investigating the failures at Zorro Ranch that led to the horrific allegations of abuse and crime so we can learn from them and prevent such atrocities from happening in our state going forward.”

Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges that he sexually abused and trafficked dozens of underage girls.

No charges have been filed against him in New Mexico, but the state attorney general’s office confirmed that he interviewed potential victims who visited Epstein’s ranch in 2019.
