Actor Ethan Hawke shared what some online described as life-changing advice about unrequited love during a red carpet interview at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday last week.

“He who is in love always wins,” Hawke explained. “It doesn’t matter if your heart breaks; you’re alive. You’re alive when you feel.”
