First critically ill children from Gaza arrive in UK for NHS treatment

The government announced that critical patients and 10 wounded children were released from Gaza to England for emergency NHS medical treatment.

After the children were released from Gaza to Jordan, they came to England with their close families. The government said it is now working to ensure that families are given “appropriate support” during their stay.

The evacuation of 10 children and 50 comrades has been coordinated by a task force in recent weeks and was supported by the World Health Organization (WHO). Authorities described it as “complex human operation”.

Their arrival comes as part of a plan that young people up to 300 will enter the UK for free medical care. In the coming weeks, more will come for care for child care.

Health and Social Care Secretary Wes Streeting, “Nobody can be uncomfortable with the destructive effect of the war on Gaza’s children and I can’t imagine that their families are folded.

“Every child deserves the chance to heal, play, just dream. These young patients have witnessed fears that no child should see, but indicates the beginning of these ways of recovery.”

Authorities said that families were supported by the British Embassy in Jordan and were subjected to “solid” security checks before coming to England.

On Monday, two children and their families from Gaza arrived in Scotland for treatment.

Since the war began in October 2023, there were three children from Gaza, who were given a medical visa for England and treated specially by Project Pure Hope.

Foreign Minister Yette Cooper said: “In Gaza, where the health system is destroyed and hospitals are no longer working, there are serious sick children who cannot get the medical care they need to survive.

“Since we welcome the first child group to the UK for emergency treatment, it reflects our determination and the power of international cooperation with human actions.

“We continue to call the protection of medical infrastructure and health workers in Gaza and allowing a major increase in drugs and materials.”

On Wednesday, the two -year United Nations investigation found that Israel was genocide in Gaza. Independent International Investigation Commission is that Israel “ignores international law” and “He has organized a genocide campaign for almost two years”.
