DMK’s vote share of 1.54 crore shows people’s faith, says M.K. Stalin

DMK chief and outgoing Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, said that Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) got only 17.43 lakh more votes than his party, a lead of only 3.52 percentage points in terms of DMK’s vote share. “In my opinion, the people of Tamil Nadu have very strong faith in our party,” he said in a message.

He said the DMK alliance had secured 1,54,82,782 votes and expressed gratitude to the people who voted for the alliance.
