MI6 launches dark web portal to attract spies in Russia
The UK’s foreign intelligence agency MI6 launched a new Dark Web Portal, silent courier to hire spies aiming at potential agents in Russia and the world.
The Safe Messaging Platform aims to strengthen national security by making the recruitment process more efficient. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Britain’s global recruitment driving.
Foreign Minister Yette Cooper said: “National security is the first task of any government and the Prime Minister’s plan of change.
“As the world changes and the threats we face are increased, we must ensure that England is always one step ahead of our competitors. Our first -class intelligence organizations are at the surface of the coal surface of this challenge that works behind the scenes to keep British people safe.
“Now we support their efforts with the latest technology, so MI6 can get new spies for England-Russia and the world.”
Anyone who wants to communicate with the UK with sensitive information about terrorism or hostile intelligence activity will be able to access the portal as of Friday.
Instructions on how to use the portal will be open to everyone on the confirmed YouTube channel of MI6.
It is recommended that users access through reliable VPNs and devices that are not connected to them.
Sir Richard Moore, the Outgoing MI6 chief, is expected to announce the portal launch in Istanbul and say: “Today we want to communicate safely to MI6 from those who have sensitive information about global instability, international terrorism or enemy state intelligence activity.
“Our virtual door is open to you.”
The launch follows a similar approach by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which publishes videos on social media channels to target potential Russian spies in 2023.
