On Friday, September 27, 2025, Punjab Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann said the ‘Rangla Punjab’ fund was established to accelerate the help and rehabilitation efforts in the state, and that each penny would be used wisely for the welfare of the floods.

Mr. Mann, who concluded the debate on the first day of a private session of the Punjab Assembly, announced that this new fund was created due to some restrictions in the Prime Minister Charitable Fund.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can not be made to the Prime Minister Charity Fund and even Parliament members can donate up to 20 lakh, he said.

Mr. Mann said that the Rangla Punjab fund was created to address these difficulties and that he received an important response from various parts of the society.

When the Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa asked if this fund is within the scope of the RTI, “We will give you information about the daily financing received,” he replied.

“We accept the controls and the Prime Minister is the president of this fund.”

Opposition parties previously questioned the decision to accept donations through the Rangla Punjab Fund instead of the Prime Minister charity fund.

Mr. Mann criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that he was “the least uncomfortable” about the problems faced by the citizens and that he was busy visiting foreign countries instead. He described this indifference as a “serious insult and insensitivity” against the Indian people, claiming that these foreign trips and the modern foreign policy of the center did not yield any results.

He also received a jab in BJP in relation to the “voting chori” issue. “Why don’t those who call for ‘a nation, an election’ do not make elections at the same time in Maharashtra and Haryana? Have you ever thought about it? A voter in Haryana will vote elsewhere, as in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra or Assam.

Mr. Mann stressed that this problem was even more serious than the hacking of the house, claimed that the government has formed its own voters, so -called “Digital Janda” and allegedly deleted the play of Rajya Sabha deputy Sanjay Singh.

Mr. Mann, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’ye “voting chori” problem to bring the support of the agenda expressed the support. “We must discuss these issues, but then democracy can be preserved. Otherwise, which democracy are we discussing?” Added.

He also claimed that India did not maintain a “good relationship with many neighboring countries. “Which country supported us during the Sindoor operation? Can you call us? So, what is our Prime Minister doing, the world is traveling? Many Indians who live abroad ask us.”

Mr. Mann drew attention to the ongoing anti -immigrant protests in Canada, England and Australia.

“Yesterday, a 73 -year -old ‘Dadi’ was deported. Is there anyone talking? Modi called us President Donald Trump ‘friend’. He said.

The lawyer said on Thursday that Harjit Kaur, a 73 -year -old Sikh woman who has been living in the United States for more than 30 years, was deported to India after being detained by the immigration officials in California without saying goodbye to relatives.
