Prince Harry sweetly twirls young fan around before accepting customised ‘Hazza’ and ‘Megs’ flip-flops as he and Meghan conclude their quasi-royal Australia tour in Sydney

Prince Harry was captured sweetly twirling a young royal fan as he and Meghan wrapped up their royal tour Down Under in Sydney today.
The footage shows the Duke of Sussex dancing with the cute four-year-old after meeting members from Invictus Australia.
These included Joel Vanderzwan, who is competing at Harry’s Invictus Games in The Hague in 2022, his wife Alexandra and their three children.
Mr Vanderzwan said the Duchess happily “persuaded Harry” when the soldier’s daughter, Charlotte, asked Meghan if she wanted to see him dance.

“Charlotte asked Meghan if she wanted to see him dance, and Meghan agreed and, as all good wives do, persuaded Harry to be the prince he is,” Mr. Vanderzwan said.
He later gifted Harry and Meghan with customized flip-flops, known as thongs Down Under. The Duke’s pair had ‘G’day Hazza’ written on them, while Meghan’s had ‘G’day Megs’ written on them.
After receiving the gift, Harry joked that he normally accepts ‘budgie smugglers’ from Invictus Australia.
The couple also met Mr Vanderzwan and Alexandra’s nine-month-old twin sons; These sons, by a remarkable coincidence, were named Harrison and William.

Prince Harry and Meghan touched down in Sydney last night for the final leg of their whirlwind Australian tour.
Meanwhile, guests were photographed turning up for Meghan to headline a £1,700-per-person women’s-only retreat at the nearby InterContinental Hotel in Coogee.
Meghan joined Prince Harry for a series of events in Sydney before being interviewed on stage as part of the launch event of the Her Best Life retreat hosted by Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and her manager Gemma O’Neill.
Following a police escort, they wandered around world-famous Sydney Harbor and took selfies with fans at the Sydney Opera House at the Invictus Australia event.
On a packed Bondi beach, Harry hugged a man wearing only beach ball-patterned budgie smugglers before the couple met the terror attack survivors in late 2025.
Some of the groups they interviewed were among the first responders to the Bondi terrorist attack on December 14, which killed 15 innocent people.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared deeply touched and chatted with survivor Jessica Chapnik Kahn as she protected her five-year-old daughter after attending the Hanukkah party.
Miss Chapnik Kahn, who Meghan hugged, said it was an ‘honour’ to meet the couple during their visit to the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club.
Harry and Meghan also viewed the works that will make up the new exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Sydney; These included messages of good wishes and illustrations of people hailed as heroes for helping people during the attack.
At Bondi, Harry and Meghan walked onto the sand on a gorgeous sunny morning, took off their shoes and walked towards the sea, delighting the public as they watched on as a growing crowd of media and beachgoers tried to take selfies with the couple.

While the duke and duchess examined the inflatable rescue boats used by lifeguards on the beach, photographers wet their shoes in the waves to capture the perfect shot of the famous couple.
A heavy contingent of NSW Police and private security guards guarded the doors as the Duke and Duchess spent 30 minutes inside to meet 40 surf lifeguards.
Later in the day, Meghan will be interviewed on stage at the ‘girls’ weekend retreat, which costs £1,400 per ticket.
VIP tickets for the event at the five-star InterContinental Coogee Beach hotel cost £1,670 and include a group table photo with the duchess.
Her appearance was announced last month by Gemma O’Neill, host of the Her Best Life podcast, which organized the 300-person event.
The visit will culminate in Sydney on Friday with a rugby match between the New South Wales Waratahs and Moana Pacifica at the Allianz Stadium.
Harry previously visited the Sydney Opera House with Meghan during his military service in 2015 and the royal tour in 2018.
Hundreds of people gathered at the famous landmark to greet Harry during his farewell march as he came to the end of a month-long engagement with the Australian Defense Force (ADF) in 2015.
While in Australia in 2015, Harry trained on helicopter simulators in barracks in Sydney, trained with the Special Air Service in Perth and worked with members of Norforce, a mostly indigenous unit that patrols northern Australia, in Darwin.
The Invictus Games include 22 countries and nearly 500 competitors; The games are inspired by Harry’s 2013 visit to the Warrior Games, which brought together hundreds of injured American military personnel to compete in adaptive sports as part of their recovery.
Australia hosted the Invictus Games in Sydney in 2018, and the next Invictus Games will be held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Center in July 2027.
