Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan roasts Jasprit Bumrah in viral video after Asia Cup six-hitting storm

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has once again caused a stir on social media after a video of him playfully mocking Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah went viral. Bumrah, who has a remarkable record of never conceding six in T20 internationals, saw that streak end during the 2025 Asia Cup as Farhan hit him with a couple of sixes, becoming the first batsman to achieve the feat.

The two teams met three times in the last Asia Cup, including the group stage, Super 4 and the final, and Farhan showed remarkable confidence against Bumrah in every encounter. The right-hander, who emerged as Pakistan’s top run-scorer in the tournament, looked quite at ease against the Indian pacer.

Farhan scored 217 runs at a strike rate of 108.49 in the Asia Cup, but his performance against India was particularly impressive. Particularly against Bumrah, he scored 51 off 34 balls with a strike rate of 150 and hit three sixes from him in three matches; this was an unprecedented feat in T20Is.

In a recently released promotional video, Farhan humorously teased Bumrah about the six-innings record and said, “Is this the same bowler who has never been hit by a six? I wondered how is that possible? Three innings, 150 runs alone. When we play, we don’t take into account who is bowling in front of us.”

Farhan also faced backlash recently for another video that went viral. During the third T20I against South Africa in Lahore earlier this month, Pakistani fans were heard making inappropriate remarks about Bumrah. The footage showed Farhan smiling and clapping while listening to the chants, angering many Indian fans online.
