Exchange student, 13, in custody after 14-year-old girl fatally stabbed at NSW host family home | New South Wales

A young Chinese girl was killed and her student was arrested after stabbing at the home of their host families.
A 13 -year -old girl, at the same time a Chinese student, 14 -year -old child in the NSW Hunter region after the death of Tuesday afternoon was helping the police.
The couple went to Australia as part of a program to go to a local school and stayed in the same house.
NSW Police Supt Tracy Chapman told reporters, “We are not aware of any other relationship between the two young girls, both of which are part of this program and stay with the homeland family,” he said.

The stabbing was claimed to have taken place after the residents of Newcastle went to bed.
Emergency Services, one of the landlords heard a turmoil and the 14 -year -old girl with knife wounds were called on Monday at 22.20 on Monday.
Medical officials were treated at the scene before taking him to John Hunter Hospital, where he later died.
A kitchen knife was seized for judicial examination. No accusation was made.
Chapman said that students came to Australia in late July and is expected to leave in mid -August.
The police were working with the Chinese consulate to inform the girls’ families.
Expert detectives and murder team are part of the investigation.
“As you can imagine, an investigation with young girls included language barriers, working on the consulate – they are not Australian residents – and therefore there are obvious complications,” he said.
