Excise policy case: Delhi court discharges Kejriwal, Sisodia, Kavitha; CBI to appeal in Delhi HC

In a relief for Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, the Delhi court on Friday, February 27, 2026, discharged the former Delhi Chief Minister and his former aide in the politically charged liquor policy case for refusing to take cognizance of the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) charge sheet.
Besides the two leaders, a clean chit was given to 21 people in the case, including Telangana Jagruthi founder and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha.
