Exercise ‘strictest vigilance’: MEA to Indians seeking employment in Iran

On Friday, September 19, 2025, India warned citizens who want employment in Iran to use “the most strict wake” because of their latest fake job offers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) said that there are a number of cases of a number of Indian citizens who have been punished to travel to Iran with the assurance that they would be sent to third countries for wrong business promises or work.

“After reaching Iran, these Indian citizens were kidnapped by criminal gangs and were requested to be released from ransom families.” He said.

“In this context, all Indian citizens are strongly warned of using the most strict alertness in such employment promises or proposals,” Mea said. He said.

“In particular, it can be stated that the Iranian Government allowed the Indians to entry to the Indians only for tourism purposes.

Mea, Indian citizens are advised not to hunt such offers.
