A federal judge in Georgia ordered Documents related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s raid on a Fulton County election facility will be released Tuesday.

The FBI raid late last month was conducted under a criminal warrant and resulted in the seizure of multiple ballots from the 2020 election in federal custody. Information about the arrest warrant, including the affidavit, must be sealed by Tuesday, which could provide new details about the government’s interest in obtaining the ballots.

Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts and the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections are suing the federal government for ballot seizures, demanding the votes be returned.

“Although Petitioners originally filed this case under seal, both parties have indicated to the Court that they are no longer opposed to sealing the docket or the motions filed by Petitioners,” wrote Judge J.P. Boulee, who was nominated by President Donald Trump in 2019.

“Defendant stated that he did not object to the unsealing of the search warrant affidavit and other documents related to the search warrant that were subject to redaction of the names of non-government witnesses,” Boulee wrote. Boulee added, giving the government until Tuesday to submit the authorization statement with redactions.

The FBI raid has drawn intense scrutiny in the weeks since his execution. Trump and his allies have vehemently denied losing the 2020 election to former President Joe Biden; This claim has been proven false. Fulton County was at the center of now-debunked allegations of election fraud; The president and his surrogates continue to make claims of fraud to this day, despite the hand count confirming Biden’s victory in the state.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s participation in the Georgia raid only increased speculation; The top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee also condemned the raid. Virginia Sen. Mark Warner and other Democrats have warned that Trump may attempt to interfere in the 2026 midterm elections.

“When you put all this together, it’s clear that what’s happening in Fulton County is not about revisiting the past, it’s about shaping the outcomes of future elections,” Warner said last week.

Gabbard defended her presence at the polling station, writing in a letter to Warner that it was “requested” by Trump and that she only observed the operation “briefly.” Trump later said at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday that the person who insisted Gabbard oversee the raid was actually Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Trump has recently been calling for a federal takeover of the election. States and local governments generally conduct elections without interference from the federal government.
