Explaining Australia joining efforts to ‘safeguard the Arctic’

Has Australia actually signed up to “undertake joint efforts to protect the Arctic”, as Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has done? He told reporters at home While touring Canberra and Sydney?
Carney said it was a bit more action-packed than the Australian’s testimony. It doesn’t seem certain that Australia will be putting boots on the snowy terrain of the Arctic any time soon.
What Carney was referring to was Australia’s commitment to sell Canada its unique version of what is known as the over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) system.
