Illegal immigrant soccer coach face death penalty after allegedly killing, raping teen player

Child sex charges continue to mount against an illegal alien football coach accused of sexually assaulting and murdering one of his players.
Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, 44, an illegal immigrant who “escaped” El Salvador, now faces more child sex charges after being accused of raping and murdering a teenage boy he was coaching, including sodomy and oral sex with a child under 16.
After entering the United States, Garcia-Aquino settled in the San Fernando Valley as a football coach. His job managing those teams made him a visitor to Whitsett Fields Park in North Hollywood; A major venue for youth soccer matches in the area, where Garcia-Aquino met 13-year-old Oscar Hernandez, whom he later allegedly sexually assaulted and later murdered.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed nine more child sex charges against Garcia-Aquino this week; eight counts of sodomy with a person under 16 and oral copulation with a person under 16, according to an amended complaint obtained by Fox News Digital. According to local media reports, Garcia-Aquino, through her lawyer, reportedly pleaded not guilty to the additional charges. Fox News Digital reached out to the LA County Public Defender’s Office but did not receive a response by time of publication.
The L.A. District Attorney’s Office, which is prosecuting the case against Garcia-Aquino, declined to comment further on the ongoing case.
In the complaint filed by the Los Angeles County California State Supreme Court, it is stated that Garcia-Aquino sexually assaulted and killed 13-year-old Oscar Hernandez on March 28. In the same complaint, Garcia-Aquino is also accused of sexual assault and rape of a child for a second time, starting in December 2022.

Meanwhile, it was reported that a separate lawsuit involving sexual assault accusations against Garcia-Aquino on February 22, 2024, was later added to the case. He also allegedly assaulted this minor multiple times between September 2022 and July 2023, according to the complaint.
Now, as charges pile up against the illegal immigrant football coach, he could face the death penalty.
“13-year-old Oscar “Omar” Hernandez was an innocent child who was exploited and murdered by this depraved illegal alien who should never have been in this country,” the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement last year. he said. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, child predators, pedophiles, and murderers will be caught and removed from America’s communities.”

According to family members, Hernandez was last seen leaving his home in Sun Valley to meet his football coach, but was later found dead on the side of the road.

In one of the other cases involving the sexual assault of a 14-year-old boy, Garcia-Aquino was said by authorities to have “befriended” a family through a local football program, and the teenager’s parents eventually allowed them to spend the night at Garcia-Aquino’s home.
The slain boy’s brother told CBS News he believes Garcia-Aquino is targeting families who do not have the legal status necessary to reside in the United States.
