Facility for organ transplant institute to become operational in three months in Kozhikode

A temporary facility for the Kerala Organ Transplantation Institute will be operational within three months at the Kozhikode government Medical College Hospital.

The facility includes two operations theaters, 10 YBU beds and 20 ward beds. Approximately 15 to 20 feet are expected on the OP per day. Dialysis unit, laboratory facilities and other facilities will be shared from Medical College Hospital.

After the institute is established, all transfers will be possible under a single umbrella. The targeted target after the institute has been operational for five years is to make 600 kidney transplantation and 360 liver transplantation per year.
