In December, Nick Reiner’s life was turned upside down when he became the prime suspect in the tragic murder of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.
Reiner, who was initially represented by high-profile attorney Alan Jackson, faced a major setback when Jackson unexpectedly withdrew from the case on January 7, the day his trial was scheduled.
Later, the 32-year-old defendant’s lawyer, Kimberly Greene, was assigned and his hearing was postponed to February 23.
The prosecutor was later seen with Nick on the day of the trial, surprising some observers who expected Nick’s siblings to hire another private attorney to defend their brother.
