Family of three from Warangal killed in road accident near Chittoor

Three members of a family died in a road accident in Chittoor district in the early hours of Saturday, March 28, 2026, when their car crashed into a stationary APSRTC bus near Sheshapuram of Bangarupalem mandal.
It was stated that the deceased were identified as Sreedhar Rao (46), his wife Lakshmi (42) and their daughter Advika (16), and all of them came from Warangal in Telangana. The family was on their way to Tirumala from Bengaluru when the tragedy occurred.
Police said the APSRTC bus from Palamaner to Puttur came to a halt on the roadside when the speeding car hit it heavily from behind. He reduced the front of the car to a mangled wreck, killing the trio at the scene.
While the surrounding citizens came to the scene and reported the situation to the authorities, the police and emergency teams started rescue and cleaning efforts. The preliminary report stated that excessive speed and possible driver fatigue were the main factors contributing to the tragedy.
The bodies were transferred to the Government District Hospital in Bangarupalem. A case was registered.
