Farmer injured in sloth bear attack in Tarikere

On January 29, a farmer was seriously injured in a sloth bear attack at A. Ramanahalli in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district.

Ramakrishna, 67, was working in the agricultural field when the wild animal attacked him. He was injured in his legs and shoulder. He somehow managed to defend himself and escape from the animal’s grasp and ran towards the village.

The villagers took him to a hospital in Tarikere and doctors administered first aid before referring him to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga.
