Nicole Richie’s teenage daughter, Harlow Madden, is celebrating her 18th birthday with a new look and name.
The natural brunette dyed her hair a jet black shade and now goes by her middle name, Kate.
While it’s unclear how long Kate, whose full name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden, has adopted her middle name, she’s been rocking the dramatic new hairstyle for several months now.
The look and name totally stole the show as Richie celebrated his daughter’s birthday on Instagram on Sunday with a photo of the teenager.
In the photo, Kate, who was last seen with honey-colored hair on the red carpet, was now rocking jet black curls that crossed her chest.
The socialite tagged her daughter’s Instagram account @katemaddenn.

The Daily Mail has contacted Nicole Richie’s representatives for further comment but has yet to receive a response.
Both Richie and her husband Joel Madden have jointly shared a sweet carousel of photos of the birthday girls over the years. The post was titled ‘You are 18’.
The former reality TV star, 44, shares Kate and son Sparrow, 16, with Madden, 46.
Richie said raising his children as teenagers in 2024 has been his “favorite phase” of parenthood so far.
