A group of US judges voted to replace New Jersey’s best Federal Prosecutor’s election due to the legal qualities of President Donald Trump and his concerns about the opposition from the democrats in the state.
Alina Habba served as Trump’s personal lawyer before being elected for the role in March and defended him in various legal cases. As a prosecutor in criminal law, he has no experience before.
The decision comes just before the end of the temporary period. Trump officially nominated to take office, but the Democrats in the Senate blocked the way of approval.
According to experts, it is rare that judges refuse to continue the role of a temporary prosecutor.
Instead, the judges chose the career prosecutor Desiree Leigh Grace to play the role. No reason was given to the decision.
