Fed pick Kevin Warsh block still on: Thom Tillis

The North Carolina Republican said Tuesday that there’s nothing Federal Reserve chairman candidate Kevin Warsh can say to get Sen. Thom Tillis to lift the blockade upon Warsh’s confirmation.
“This isn’t about people, it’s about process,” Tillis told reporters at the U.S. Capitol ahead of a planned meeting with Warsh.
Tillis has vowed not to vote for any Fed nominee, including Warsh, until the criminal investigation into Chairman Jerome Powell is concluded. Powell called the investigation a political excuse.
