Telangana Plans Preparation For Khelo Youth Games
Hyderabad: The preparatory meeting for the Khelo India Youth Games to be held in Telangana was held at Olympic Bhavan on Wednesday.
Chaired by AP Jithender Reddy, president of Telangana Olympic Association (TOA), Advisor on Sports Affairs to Telangana Government and Special Representative of Telangana Government in New Delhi; and Telangana Sports Authority (SATG) Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr. The meeting, which was attended by A. Sonibala Devi, was attended by SATG Deputy Director (Technical) S. Srinivas and TOA secretary P. Malla Reddy, along with secretaries and representatives of various State Sports Associations.
Addressing the meeting, Jithender Reddy emphasized that all State Sports Associations should work in close coordination to ensure Telangana delivers an outstanding performance in the Khelo India Youth Games.
He emphasized that athlete selections should be made in a transparent and merit-based manner, and deserving young athletes should be given the opportunity to represent the state.
He also stated that the Telangana Government is committed to the promotion and development of sports and urged all State Sports Associations to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism to help Telangana win more medals at the national level.
