Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Darbhanga district, Mr. Shah called the Mahagatbandhan a ‘rogue bandhan’ and alleged that Lalu Prasad was involved in fodder, bitumen and land-for-work scams, while the Congress was involved in corruption cases worth ₹ 12 lakh crore.

Mr. Shah said the Center had banned radical outfit PFI and arrested its members, claiming that the NDA would not allow them to come out of jail.
“Do you think RJD will allow PFI members to remain in jail if they come to power in Bihar?” he asked.
Mr. Shah said the NDA government has provided free ration to 8.52 crore people in Bihar, created the Makhana Board and provided 125 units of free energy to domestic consumers.
“A metro line will come to Darbhanga soon… an airport has already been built and an AIIMS is also being built,” he said.

The BJP leader said that a temple of Goddess Sita has been built in Mithila and every place he visits will be connected to the circuit of Ram.
“The NDA government gave official status to Maithili and the Constitution was translated into the language,” he said, adding that a center worth Rs 500 crore was being built in the region for the preservation of manuscripts.
