Fighter jet swerves dramatically to avoid birds near packed beach

This is the moment when a Spanish fighter plane had to make a evasive maneuver during an air show in Gijon.

Video images show that the Spanish F -18 fighter flying at a low height when suddenly turns upside down, avoiding a flock of birds before flying and suffering towards the sea.

“One of our F-18 warrior jets made a evasive maneuver after detecting a flock of birds in orbit,” the Spanish Air Force said in a statement.

“This action is part of routine protocols to protect the integrity of the pilot and the security of the mass.”
