Two dead, 10 hurt in shooting on Greek island of Crete

In what a senior police official described as a family feud, a man and a woman were killed and at least 10 people were injured in an armed attack in a village on the Greek island of Crete.
Police did not provide any information about the suspected attacker who opened fire in the village of Vorizia.
A second police official said the attack followed an explosion at a construction site where a bomb had been placed on Friday night.
Both police officials spoke on condition of anonymity.
Crete has a history of violent feuds between families resulting from revenge, broken honor, and disagreements over perceived insults.
Greece’s top police officials, including the head of the police force and the head of the anti-organized crime unit, left for Crete on Saturday, the second official said.
