Anti-tourism protest in Mexico City turns violent

A protest against mass tourism, which started peacefully in Mexican city neighborhoods, returned to violence when a small number of people began to break down their fronts and harass the foreigners.

“Mexico City is going through a transformation,” he said.

“There are many foreigners who come to live here, that is, Americans. Many of them say xenophobia, but not. Only many foreigners come here, rents are so high because of Airbnb. Some people can’t pay anymore.”

The Mexico City protest follows others in European cities against mass tourism such as Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Paris and Rome.
