Fire Tender Crushes Girl to Death in Chikkadpally

Hyderabad: An 18-year-old girl died after being crushed under the wheels of a fire truck in Chikkadpally’s Azamabad on Monday night.
Police said the girl, Maheka Bee, along with her brother Ibrahim and mother Fathima, were heading towards their home in Shastripuram in Mailardevpally on a two-wheeler after attending a function at Gulshannagar in Musheerabad.
At around 10.30 pm, a fire truck from Musheerabad fire station was on its way to the spot to carry out a fire-fighting operation after receiving a call. At the same time, Ibrahim was driving behind the fire truck that hit him at the Azamabad junction.
After this, Maheka Bee died after falling under the rear wheels of the fire truck, said Chikkadpally Sub-Inspector P Abhilash. Ibrahim and Fathima escaped with injuries. Police rushed them to Gandhi hospital where their condition was stable.
Abhilash said that efforts are on to examine CCTV cameras to find out the cause of the accident and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
