Two hikers killed by major rockfall on popular trail in Canada | Canada

Two people were killed and three were injured when a group of hikers fell on a group of hikers in a popular Rocky Mountain Trail in Western Canada.

The accident took place on Thursday, Alberta, nearly 225km (140 miles) of Calgary (140 miles) near the Bow Glacier Waterfall in Banff National Park. The region is known for its natural beauty and is particularly busy in summer.

The first victim was 70 years old from Calgary. In a joint statement, Royal Canada Monteed police and Parks Canada said that a second body was rescued early on Friday.

More people were not reported to be missing.
