Firefighters rush to Canary Wharf migrant hotel after reports of a blaze

After the reports of a fire, the firefighters ran to an immigrant hotel in Canary Wharf.

Britannia Hotel, which hosts hundreds of asylum seekers, has been the place of anti -immigrant protests in recent months.

The reports showed that an electric fire exploded on the 7th floor in the afternoon on Sunday and hurled to the hotel.

A London Fire Department spokesman said: ‘Firefighters are currently responding to an event in a hotel in Marsh Wall, Tower Hamlets.

‘The crew is currently doing a systematic research of the building for fire symptoms.

‘Tugay was first called about the incident in 1650 and Millwall, Kavak, Whitechapel and the surrounding fire stations were sent to the crew to the scene.

However, the fire brigade later said it was a wrong alarm and that there was no fire.

A small group of protesters who numbered a dozen, firefighters were shown outside the hotel while dealing with the incident.

St George’s flags and Union Jacks are placed on a fence outside the hotel, but now it is being removed.

Five security guards stood at the entrance of the hotel, which was protected by two large metal fences.

The hotel has a hearing for shelter during the summer and has about 581 guest rooms and looks at the Thames River and Canary Wharf Business.
